Geena Davis
ActingVirginia Elizabeth Davis, más conocida como Geena Davis (Wareham, 21 de enero de 1956), es una actriz estadounidense ganadora de los premios Óscar y Globo de Oro. Fue catalogada como la número 61 de las “100 estrellas de cine de todos los tiempos” por la revista Empire del Reino Unido, en octubre de 1997. Ganadora de un Óscar en la categoría mejor actriz de reparto en 1988 por su papel en El turista accidental (The Accidental Tourist) y nominada en 1991 como mejor actriz en la película: Thelma y Louise. Ha participado en muchas películas famosas como: Tootsie, La mosca, Beetlejuice, Stuart Little y Earth Girls Are Easy, entre muchas otras. En 2006 recibe el premio Globo de Oro como mejor actriz de una serie dramática de TV. Geena Davis es también miembro de MENSA, la asociación internacional de las personas más inteligentes del planeta. Una de sus aficiones es el tiro con arco, donde obtuvo el lugar 24 entre 28 en las semifinales para el equipo olímpico estadounidense de la especialidad el 21 de agosto de 1999.
